I'm an open water diver, I dived four times in 2025, twice on Bombinhas-PR and twice on Fernando de noronha-PE.My lowest dive was at 20 meters deep (about 13 feet). The most interesting creature I've met were turtles, but I've encountered an octupus, many sharks, stingrays, arrays, fishes (obviously), starfishes, dolphins, barracudas and more.
On dives we always dive in pairs, usually I pair with my brother. I've done snorkelling a few times, I manage to free dive while holding my breath to see the sea creatures closer, I find it extremely curious how most of them won’t care if you’re there, they’ll just keep swimming. The dolphins I've encountered are named after their interesting behavior of spinning while jumping out of water to communicate with their group, I saw many, they were so precious. I couldn’t swim with them to not interfere with their routine, but only being able to see was already awesome.
I dived next to an island on my birthday, that giant rock formation was hit by canonballs during portuguese colonization process to train their aim, that caused half of the isle to collapse and the other half cracked. While diving we spotted the canonballs'marks on the walls and every once in a while the waves made the formation's halfs move and scratch each other, making engine sounds

When diving you become aware of all your actions, including breathing. Sometimes when I get nervous, I forget to breath
